The hire fee is based on a weeks hire. Full contact details, including name of contact, dates required and return date must be provided. A deposit may also be required based on the order total and/or cost of replacement.
Once the costumes leave our premises, it is the hirers responsibility to make sure the items are insured against loss or damage from any cause during the period of hire. Once the goods have left our premises they will be liable for any loss or damage. Any lost or damaged items will be charged at cost of replacement or repair. Full contact details must be given.
For large orders a list of the goods ordered will be sent with the items. If there is any discrepancy once the goods are received you must notify us within 24 hours as we will use this list to check off the items once they are returned, any items missing shall be charged.
All items hired shall be charged at the full cost of hire regardless of whether they come to be used in your production unless you have notified us of some error beforehand and require an alteration or replacement garment.
Visits to the costume genie premises are by appointment only. If you do plan to visit we would request you provide us with information about your project in advance so we can have the relevant items ready for your inspection. Evening and weekend appointments are available. Pictures of any costume can be sent via email.
Wherever possible costumegenie.co.uk should be mentioned in any programme produced pertaining to the production for which the costumes are to be used.
It is generally the responsibility of the client to organize pick-up and return of the items hired. Collection in person must be made by prior appointment only, if you come earlier then this agreed time your items may not be ready. If you require the goods posted they will be sent by recorded/signed for post and you will be charged at cost.
Goods must be returned on the agreed date, any time over this will be charged at our standard rate and you will be sent an additional invoice. If an item is lost you must notify us immediately. We will need to be reimbursed for the losses incurred and you will be notified accordingly.
Items must be returned in the original packaging they were sent in, and neatly folded. Under no circumstances should black sacks or recycling bags be used. Please do not wash the items.
